Yesterday, I had the pleasure of lunching at Women, Wine and Shoes. It was my first year at the charity affair, so I felt a need to step up my shoe game. I decided on these little Jeffrey Campbell numbers from Joanna Paige and let them dictate the rest of my ensemble. The cape was an afterthought, inspired by one of my favorite fashionistas, Elysze Held. She’s always in something black, dramatic, amazing and usually one-of-a-kind. I secretly long to be her (if and when) I grow up. Of course, she was there in her Valentino Rockstud pumps, looking fab as always. In a sea of vintage Channels, Charlotte Olympias and Choos, my pumps held their own. And if it was shoe porn you were after, this was temptation island. Between the pop-up boutique, the fashion show and the shoe competition, it was an afternoon celebrating my favorite vice and raising money for Miami Children’s Hospital. Plus, there was plenty of wine so all of the shod socialites could tolerate time in a half in their tottering heels. Cheers to that.
