Pattern Power

{Matching top and skirt: Vintage Franck Olivier Paris. Bralette: c/o Ramona LeRue. Orange Shoes: Zara.}

Sure this fashion blog outfit post is yellow and orange, but this is my green post. You see, I scored this vintage matchy matchy ensem (from Franck Olivier Paris nonetheless, at the Lincoln Road Antique Market some 12 years ago. (Who holds on to clothes for 12 years? Confession of a Miami Fashion Blog Hoarder). For some reason, I just never let it go. But on a random closet clean out, I rediscovered it. The skirt was past my knees (in the most unflattering way). But there was something about the print-on-print pattern that make it new again. So, I gave it to my super awesome housekeeper, whose sewing skills are beyond mind blowing, and let her have at it. A week later, it was like this 12 year old outfit was new again. Pair it with my orange shoes for summer and it feels like a fresh vintage score. I recycled, revamped and shopped my own closet. It doesn’t get more eco friendly than that.
