I live in Miami so nothing every gets dried out. I mean, how can it? It’s rarely below 70 degrees and we have enough humidity to keep your hair in a state of perma-frizz until the end of Hillary’s second term (see what I did there?). False! Just because we Miamians don’t have winter doesn’t mean we don’t need to moisturize on the regular. That big ball up there in the sky that keeps us in a constant state of hot also dries us out. And I’m fairly certain chapped lips—the side effect of said ball—are just evil face hangnails. Chapped lips feel like sandpaper rubbing against sandpaper. No one wants to put lipstick on them. No one wants to kiss them. And they feel awful pressed together. So, when Vaseline recently launched its Lip Therapy Tins I was all over it. Smothering my lips in balm is one of the few things I do actually every night before I hit the hay. Even those nights when I can’t bring myself to wipe off my makeup, I still reach for a tin and drench my lips. The result is smooth, unchapped lips that feel soft and kissable. I guess that’s why I call it my prelude to a kiss. When Vaseline asked me to help spread the word about their latest offerings (there’s aloe, cocoa butter, original and rosy options, the last of which is my personal fave because it has a pink tint), I jumped at the chance. I like sharing products that I enjoy using and actually work for me. This just happens to be one of them. Helpful life tip: Aside from the rosy tin, if you happen to find yourself in an oh man, the skin of my legs looks like I’m auditioning to be the next feature attraction at Gator World, rub a little on your fingers and brush up and down your legs. Products that multitask —yes, all day long.
