A glimpse inside my medicine cabinet …
A few years ago I discovered what is by far the world’s greatest nail polish remover: Target’s Up & Up Maximum Strength Acetone Nail Polish Remover Dip-It.
Here’s why it’s so great:
The secret is the non-sponge middle.
Instead of a soggy sponge that just absorbs the paint color and smears it all over your fingers, this remover has a plastic middle with little fingers. The polish comes off and stays in the bottle, instead of staining your skin. I think you can find it for around $2. I always buy tons of them because I’m afraid they will run out and I’ll be stuck with the staining sponge forever. For the eco-conscious, you can also refill this bottle once the remover reaches its end of days. To remove toenail color, I dip a cotton ball in the remover. Or, I just keep painting over what’s currently chipping on my toes until I can get to the salon for a proper pedi. TMI, I know.
