A Reminder to Just Breathe

Sometimes, when it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and everything feels out of whack and you feel like ducking and running for cover, the most important thing to do is the thing you most often forget; to breathe. It sounds so simple and yet it’s not. Our body voluntarily does it for us for a reason. If left up to us, we’d be blue in the face—a lot.

When I heard about The Shift by Komusō Design, a cylinder-shaped charm with holes that allows you to center your breath by simply breathing into it, I jumped at the chance to feature it. We all need a reminder to inhale the good and exhale the bad. And this is a beautiful, zen-filled way in which to do so. Plus, it’s a great conversation piece to remind anyone who asks about it to stop and breathe along this road we call life, too.

If there’s someone you love (including yourself) who needs a friendly reminder to breathe this Valentine’s Day, check out the beautiful Shift. They are for both men and women, come in a variety of metals and will help you tune into a more blissful you. That’s a gift worth sharing. You can do so at komusodesign.
