Taking My Revamped Vintage for a Stroll

{Revamped vintage dress. Vintage clutch. H&M cuff. Steve Madden suede platform wedges. P.S. That’s my art project I STILL havent’ finished behind me. Before 2013, I swear.}

As a self-professed vintage junkie, I go on missions to find out-of-date dresses. I initially found this dress at a yard sale at the home of the most adorable little old lady in Surfside. I unearthed this ’60s frock from her mix for $5. It was a long maxi mess with a sash that draped down on both sides like something from a Disney princess movie. I handed it over to my housekeeper, who can make a needle and thread sing, and she created this design by pulling things in here, tucking them in there and snipping a lot off the bottom.

I threw this on for the Miami Art Museum Art Fair Survival Party at The James Royal Palm, where I snatched up all the passes I need to get me through Basel. I also gave my hair a Basel test run to see if bigger would stay that way after leaving the house. So far, so good—so long as the humidity is on holiday.

Playing with my new Le Volume De Chanel Mascara. I love mascara almost as much as I love vintage, and this stuff is bananas. The wand is shaped just so that it hits every lash, even those itty bitty ones around your inner upper lid. Paired with MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Dark Dare and Cremesheen lipstick in Innocense, Beware!

{The best accessories a girl could ask for: the swag from my Art Fair Survival party bag. Next stop: Basel.}
