Holiday Looks Made Simple

A holiday party frock, a Christmas Eve look, a NYE LBD—ringing in the holidays is a lot like buying a whole new wardrobe. But with gifts to buy, trips to take and presents to mail, splurging this time of year on yourself isn’t necessarily in the cards. That’s why I recently partnered with Sawgrass Mills to put together some holiday looks on a budget and take over their Instagram account smack in the middle of holiday season. Would I leave you hanging without tips on what to wear to end 2016 and ring in a whole new 365? No way! Keep reading to find out how you can score a $250 gift card to Sawgrass to steal my looks or create a few of your own.

My first stop at Sawgrass Mills was AllSaints, one of my favorite brands. I love the rock ‘n’ roll feel there. Within my first few minutes in the store,  I came across this stunning black, laser-cut dress and immediately felt that sensation you get when you find the perfect LBD for NYE. It’s similar to the dancing girl emoji, in case you were wondering. I paired it with a nude-ish pink suede moto jacket, also from AllSaints. I loved the juxtaposition of taking something overly feminine, like this dress, and pairing it with something unexpected, like the jacket. And at 50 percent off everything in the store, it was easy to justify taking both home. Speaking of 50 percent off, this $300 dress came out to just $25. No, that’s not a typo. And yes, you really can find something this stunning at AllSaints for $25.

Next, I headed over to Saks Off Fifth, where I scored these sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti. With overly tall heels as my Kryptonite, I just couldn’t resist. Plus, they were a fraction of their original cost, which, in addition to being wearable over and over again, makes them perfection.

While also at Saks Off Fifth, I stumbled upon maybe the most stunning Alice and Olivia sequin skirt, which is where this second look originated. You can never go wrong with sequins and a classic white button-up for a holiday soiree. Finding this look, head to toe, in one shop was awesome. After spying the skirt, I paired it with a Saks Fifth Avenue tux shirt, threw in a Tory Burch leather jacket in the hottest color of the season to pick up the details in the skirt and tossed on a pair of nude Schutz heels. Now all that’s missing is a glass of bubbly to toast, holiday tunes and a gathering of friends and fam.

After wrapping our shoot, I zipped through the mall and stocked up on my remaining gifts, crossing the rest of the names off my list. Being able to shop my holiday wardrobe and knock names off my list in one trip could turn the biggest Grinch into a believer. Plus, the holiday decor at Sawgrass Mills really put me in the spirit of the season.

Now it’s my turn to help you get in the holiday mode. Leave a comment on this post telling me where you’re headed this holiday season and I’ll pick one winner on January 30th to receive a $250 gift card to Sawgrass Mills to shop a look for the last day of the year. Be sure to include your e-mail address so I can reach out should you win. Best of luck and happy holidays!
