I called my mom yesterday and said, “I’m having so much fun, I’m never coming home.” Then, she reminded me eventually New York Fashion Week ends and you do have to come home. So, I’m making the most of it while I’m here.

Yesterday, between shows, I got the chance to shoot with TJ Maxx and Marshalls in the Meatpacking District for #WhatIWoreNYFW. I put together an on-trend look with plaid and leather. I normally don’t do plaid, it’s too mountain man for me, but it’s huge this fall. So, I decided to step outside of my fashion comfort zone, but added overtly girly touches here and there for a look I like to call Lumberjack Meets Jackie O. And those shoes, well,  I spent a total of 13 hours in these sky-high, razor-thin stilettos, too. But it was worth it. Why? Keep scrolling down …

Because sometimes at NYFW, you find your fashion twin! How amazing is this? This photog came up to me and asked if he could snap my pic. of course, I said, “Yes, but only if you get in a pic with me.” And when he did, photogs flocked around us. “Do you guys know each other?” They said. “Nope!” I replied. Then, I turned to my fashion doppelganger and said, “Tomorrow, we’re wearing black and lace.” Let’s see if he can pull that one off.

Other highlights off the runway included spotting Coco Rocha and Kristina Bazan in the flesh. It’s like my Instagram feed in real life. (P.S. I apologize for the sub-par quality of these iPhone pics. Let’s hope the new camera on the 6 is more like the one the my fashion twin was yielding.) More adventures to come soon. And yes, Mom, I promise I will (eventually) come back home.
