Nicole Richie Hits Macy’s Today

Last week at Lucky FABB, I heard Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren chat up an audience full of fashion bloggers about the brand’s latest collab with Nicole Richie for Macy’s Impulse. Last night, I got to see what all the hype was about when I spied a preview of the collection at Macy’s Aventura in what turned out to be a mini Miami fashion blogger reunion. From faux leather and velvet skirts to flowy blouses and uber printed maxi dresses, I tried on my fair share of the collab (which, if you are buying online, runs a little on the big side, so size down). Thoughts: It’s a boho good time. But what else would we expect from the pint-sized gypsy that is Nicole Richie?

{Loving this black and white blouse with birdcage detail.}

{Peacock fathers abound, as seen on this maxi skirt and the blouse I tried on. I’ll definitely be picking this top up later today.}

{Sharing the collection with the Twitter-verse.}

{Bell sleeves, peacock feather print, bold colors. It was love at first sight.}

{Another glimpse at the collection. Pattern power mixed with a blazer with studded shoulder detail. The jacket is also available in black, but I’m loving this alternative color.}

{Sheer sleeves, lace detail and more peacock feathers make this dress pop. It looked great on everyone who tried it on. But don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself starting today at 10 a.m., when Macy’s Aventura will gift the first 100 people in line a $25 gift card. You can also view the collection tonight at the Macy’s Aventura fete at 6 p.m. in Impulse on 2.}

{What I wore: Vintage Bill Blass blouse. Forever 21 tap shorts  in my new favorite color of the season: oxblood. Urban Outfitters hat. Vintage T-strap suede and leather heels. Vintage snakeskin bag and gold necklace. Forever 21 ring.}
