My Beauty For Real Charity Case

I’m this month’s Beauty For Real “Beauty Heroine!”

A few months back Leslie at Beauty For Real asked me to be a part of her Beauty and Grace campaign. Being a huge fan of the makeup line, how could I turn down an opportunity like that? The concept behind the campaign is real women who give back. Leslie fell in love with the idea of giving girls positive roll models and inspiring girls and women to go out and make the world a better place. I was thrilled to be a part of such a positive movement. My cause: the Miami Art Museum’s Contemporaries. I’m a new member of the Steering Committee, which helps me share my passion for the arts with young professionals. Sharing the arts is a gift. It propels imagination. It creates more art. It gives us an outlet for our passions. For me, creativity is our best resource.

With Art Basel taking over Miami during the month of December and transforming our city into an “all things art” event, it seemed the perfect time to plug my cause. And that’s how I became this month’s “Beauty Heroine.” Through Dec. 31, if you purchase my fav Beauty For Real product, Turned On Illuminating Lip Gloss, 25 percent of proceeds go to the Miami Art Museum Contemporaries. Check out my Beauty For Real page here, complete with a Q&A. Then, check out my favorite product here. The color is amazing for all skin tones, and it comes in the package with the built-in LED light and mirror. I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve used that light to not only put on my makeup, but to also unearth keys from the bottom of my purse, etc … It’s makeup and a flashlight all wrapped into one. And it’s for charity. Sounds like the perfect holiday gift for your girls, if you ask me.

Kudos to Jessica at Van Michael for the amazing hair.

I just want to say a big thank you to Leslie and Stephanie for including me in such a noble cause. The shoot was a blast. They even let me include my kiddo. Beauty For Real isn’t just a makeup company, it’s an idea that women can band together and make the world a better place. And it’s a local, woman-run business. Now that’s something we can all get behind.
