I’ve always treated my birthday like a get-dressed-up-and-celebrate-not-just-the-day-but-the-entire-week-leading-up-to-the-big-day occasion. I’ve never been the type to shun birthdays or lie about my age. Why? Because the older I get, the more life I’ve lived and the more experiences I’ve had. Adding more years to your life isn’t something to regret. It’s something to celebrate. So, throw a candle into a piece of cake, light it and wait for me to make a wish. My 35th is going to be my best one yet.
