March Beauty Board

Before we bid farewell to March, here are a few of my favorite products that helped me kick off spring.

New Scents:

My house is stocked with vanilla candles. This Nest Vanilla Orchid and Almond candle from Neiman Marcus is just one in my arsenal. The scent reminds me of freshly baked confections. And what’s better than walking into a home that smells like dessert?

My new scent for the season is Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Aqua Vitae. The combination of musky, wood and citrus with lemon, mandarin, tonka bean and vanilla feels like a refreshing spring day.

To bring my home into the season, I added an AirEssence from Agraria in Golden Cassis. The beautiful flowers have wicks as stems, which absorbs the oil and emanates the scent throughout your home. I put mine on my mail stand so it’s the first thing I smell when I walk in the door.

Creamy Goodness:

Earlier this month I got addicted to BB Cream for my face. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when Jergens invited me to a lovely lunch, where they announced the arrival of its BB Body Cream. Now everything my BB Cream does for my face this one does for the rest of me. Greatest invention ever? Yup.

And speaking of keeping things moisturized, Library of Flowers Honeycomb Coco Butter Handcreme is amazing. First, the packaging is beautiful and I don’t mind leaving something this pretty on the bathroom counter. And the formula is just what my dry hands need. As a mom I spend a lot of time washing my hands, kids hands, dogs’ feet. A good moisturizer is a must.

I’m also obsessed with the Library of Flowers Perfumed Creme in Willow and Water. The perfume alternative not only moisturizes, it also lasts longer than a traditional spray perfume.

Sun Solutions:

Not that we even had a winter this year, but since it’s officially spring and I have gotta-be-outside-all-the-time fever, it’s time to take precautions. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. This deodorant stick-shaped SPF 70 from Neutrogena is easier to apply than any other sunscreen on the planet.

And since I’m keeping things under cover, I’m faking my glow with this self tanner for face with Sensai¬†at Neiman Marcus.

The Kiss:

I’ve been searching the universe far and wide for an natural red lipstick. Apparently, red is full of the most harmful things. And, of course, it’s my favorite shade. Ready Red from Plain Jane Beauty put my quest on hold. The color is just bright enough and the formula lasts. Victory? I think so.

When I give red a break, I like to turn to bold shades of pink, like Fuchsia Orchestra from L’Oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche. It’s lipstick color in a gloss formula.

Best Face Forward:

There’s a cream for every inch of your face. Why? Because wrinkles happen. Do things to prevent them. For starters, tell toxins to take a hike with the Lotus Moon Organic Honey Purifying Masque. With organic ingredients it’s safe to use, which means the you can skip making your own. Hello, extra time to catch up on the latest Bravo Housewife drama.

If you are like me and rarely get enough sleep, run now to Neiman Marcus and score the Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Eyedration. It also helps prevent your foundation from caking up under your eyes. What two things could possibly be better than that?

I’m declaring war on wrinkles with Vichy LiftActiv Retinol HA Advanced Concentrate. The wrinkle filler treatment puts me one-step closer to getting my 21-year-old skin back.

Before I go to bed, I dive head first into night cream. My new fave is Darphin Ideal Resource. It calls itself a light re-birth overnight cream. Yup, that will definitely get the job done.

Problem: Tear fest 2014 because of some stupid chick flick on Netflix. Solution: Lotus Moon Hydro-therapy Eye Serum. The roll-on eye massage treatment for de-puffing and anti-aging is like that whole sob story never happened. Plus. it’s vegan, gluten-free, 100 percent natural.
