Mills and I Take Over The Loews Instagram

Tomorrow kicks off the first day of school. THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! I don’t know where summer went. Sucked into the abyss, with only memories of what happened. I have to say I had a blast, though. This past month has literally zoomed by and brought with it a load of adventures. Mills took a trip to Boston with her family. And I went to Colorado on the trip of a lifetime. (More to come on that soon enough.) We celebrated an epic homecoming by checking into the Loews Miami Beach Hotel and taking over their Instagram for the weekend. It was a picture perfect weekend because it gave me a chance to spend some time with my favorite person on earth before life gets back into its groove and things like homework and tardy bells replace meandering summer days. On the very last weekend of summer, we laughed, we bonded and we built memories that we will look back on for years and years to come. Here’s a taste of how the amazing weekend went down:

All aboard for check in. Kiddo hopping a ride to our room.

Sweet treats created just for us by the amazing pastry chef at the hotel.

Mills taking a bite out of life—and the world’s biggest cupcake.

Pre-bed jump in my Eberjey jammies. So nice having my mini join in on my favorite hotel activity.

Davines products! I repeat: Davines products in the shower makes showering that much better.

Milly’s favorite part of the stay? Room service. That French toast is as big as she is!

The next day we hit Soak for a little pooling around in our coordinating Sweet Lola Kids bathing suits. The poolside cabana was simply awesome.    10650

And then it was off to Exhale Spa, where we slipped into robes and headed off for mommy and me manis and pedis.

R&R with my BFF.

After relaxing spa time, we were ready to see what Lure was all about.

Table for two, so we could catch up on how awesome our summer has been.

We hit the sand for Sunday fun day and took advantage of the beach cabana. Mills wore her Sweet Lola Kids bikini (or as she calls it, her triangles, which made her feel like a grown-up). And I wore my L Space by Monica Wise Double Trouble Strap Back Top and Duet Bottom Bitsy Fit.

Some much-needed beachside lounging.

I think if one pic could sum up our stay, this is it. We had an absolute blast. A perfect ending to a perfect summer. Thanks, Loews. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got some last-minute back-to-school shopping to attend to. Oh summer, how I miss you already.
