Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder.
Last Wednesday, as I mentioned, Givenchy hosted a chi chi luncheon in the penthouse of Soho Beach House, where makeup
artist genius Dominique Lehongre showed us what’s new from the collection and what will make its mark this fall. Here’s a sneak peak.
Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara Volume, Length, Curl & Care.
Love mascara. Maybe even a little more than I should. For me, it’s all about the wand, though this is the prettiest mascara tube I’ve ever seen. Givenchy Noir Couture takes a whole new approach with a triple-ball design. The three balls, as seen below, have four responsibilities: volumize, which the spaces between the balls do; lengthen, which is the result of the different fibers used in the wand; curl, a direct effect from the balls; and care for the lashes (which is actually the job of the formula). Lehongre calls mascara, “the little black dress of the eyes.” And he’s so right. It’s a makeup essential. Look for it this August at Sephora.com.

Givenchy Le Prisme Eye Quad Color & Shine for Metallic Eyes 4 Color Limited Edition in Acoustic Harmony.
From the Acoustic Colors collection, due out this fall, is the Le Prisme Eye Quad in Acoustic Harmony. Hello, shimmer. Lehongre gave us the lowdown on how to wear the quad. “Don’t feel obligated to wear all four shades at one time.” In fact, he mixed black with plum and that was that. The way the light catches the pigments in the shadow is stunning. This is a must come fall nights out.
From the Croisiere collection, out now, the Healthy Glow Powder is a must. It’s a talc-free face power that can be used as a bronzer year-round. Because it’s talc free, it doesn’t feel like you are wearing anything on your skin. It comes in four shades and is pretty much guaranteed to be your go-to come the summer months in Miami when it so hot you can’t even think about going outside, let alone wearing makeup.
The Mister Perfect eraser pen, also out now, removes all the mishaps you make while putting your makeup on. That’d be when I get mascara all under my brows. Or, when I get shadow on my cheeks when trying to make smokey eyes. Brilliant.
But what really blew my mind was the Le Gloss Recelateur de Liv Magic Lipgloss Lipcolor Revealer in Lively Pink, also due out this fall. Why is it the coolest thing I’ve ever seen? In the tube, it’s clear. Crystal clear. Put it on and it interacts with you skin’s PH and turns a shade that works for you. Same goes for the Hydra Sparkling Magic Lip & Cheek Balm in Moisturizing Peach Glow. How cool is that? Another great tip from Lehongre: Apply Hydra Sparkling and other cream blushes on the bridge and sides of of the nose. It gives you a natural, sun-kissed look. Smooch.
