Four Organic Brands Worth Giving a Try

Hello, my name is Ginger and I am addicted to trying out new organic products. Why? Because parabens scare the bejesus out of me. Here’s four I stumbled across, each brand bringing with it a little something I love.

The whole time I was preggo with kiddo, I made hubby rub shea butter on the belly to ward off stretch marks. Shea butter is basically like rolling around in a vat of cream. This pot of 100% Organic Shea Butter from SheaMoisture  is loaded with the good stuff. Love it because you can use it for everything from a cream around your eyes (to ward off wrinkles) to a chapstick or a cure of mosquito bites.  And products that multitast take up way less space in the old medicine cabinet.

I’ve been hunting a good cleanser that isn’t packed with weird chemicals for what seems like forever now. But I had to take my skin’s extreme sensitivity into consideration (I once broke out into hives from baby oil. Yup, baby oil.) It’s like this Refreshing Cleanser from Tata Harper was made just for me and my hypersensitive skin.

Now that I’m confronting my airplane phobia, I’m traveling again. But finding organic travel-sized shampoos and conditioners is a mission impossible. Luckily, I came across the Harmonic Shampoo and Conditioner from Intelligent Nutrients. The brand also has a really great hand sanitizer that doesn’t smells all alcohol-ish.

Holy Botox! Needles scare me. So I’m trying to ward off wrinkles the old fashioned way—with prayers and creams. ATX from Taylor Owen Beautiful is 98 percent natural, chemical- and paraben-free and will make smile lines, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles so last season.

And there you have it, my chem-free round-up. Give ’em a shot and let me know what you think.
