Thursday night I got the chance to attend the Express Runway fashion show at The Raleigh (aka my favorite hotel in all of Miami Beach). The event was stellar, with a DIY tee booth, braid bar, manis, free drinks, mini grilled cheeses (which I may or may not—ok may—have eaten 38 of), models, Heat players and bloggers from near and far. Let’s just put it this way: Express went all out and it showed. I wore Express (of course) to the event, which included my full skirt (with pockets—a major selling point) that I’m absolutely obsessed with and my serious statement necklace. Upon arriving, I noticed my crop top, full skirt combo in all black was the outfit of the evening, as Steffy from Steffy’s Pros and Cons, as well as Annie from The Fashion Poet were sporting similar looks. Annie and I even had on the same top! What can I say, we have good taste. Haha.

At the event I ran into Erica Domesek from P.S. — I Made This. I haven’t seen her in at least a decade, back when I used to work at the magazine. Hello, flashback. She was kind enough to snap a pic with me before I bedazzled my tee. That’s my friend Diana’s tee below btw. She put serious effort into her DIY action and it shows.

Speaking of DIY, check out Julia Arielle’s (of Darling Juliet) nails below. How cute are they?

And then it was time for the main event. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the runway, which you can shop at I know, I too, am drooling over the zebra skirt. It’s not on the site just yet, but keep checking back for new looks from the runway to be added. As for the crop top, full skirt combo the majority of us were wearing, well, it, too ruled the runway. Looks like we’re on to something. You can find more looks from the night with the hashtag #EXPRunway.

As for my rendezvous with Kate Upton, well, it didn’t exactly happen, though I did managed to snap a pic of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. And Franky and I were in the same place as her. I guess that’s a close to full circle as we’re going to get. Such a fun night. It was definitely one for the books, er blog.
