The deets:

When: Friday, October 31, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Where: Lummus Park, Nineth Street and Ocean Drive

Why: You’re too old to go trick or treating, but you love a costume. Spend the witching hour at not only a Halloween party, but one with a charitable aspect, as well. The Little Lighthouse Foundation, which helps South Florida children and families in need, celebrates its fifth annual Halloween bash, Nightmare on the Beach, at Lummus Park this year, which means, for the first time ever, the event will actually be on the beach. I’m talking in the sand. Expect a nightclub feel under the moon. Think a Dos Equis Most Interesting Lounge in the World with a life-sized Space Invaders game, new flavor of Patron and tunes  by Lee Kalt. And let’s not forget the eye candy. Costumes, face paint, body paint and more. It’s Halloween in a way that only South Beach could do. Find more at www.nightmareonthebeach.com.

Tickets start at $150.
