One of the best things about living in this amazing city where the weather is enviable 90 percent of the time is the ability to enjoy the great outdoors almost year-round. Lately, my favorite mode of getting fresh H20 and sucking in a little vitamin D is via bike. In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a new bike in town. Citi Bike is the new mode of shared public green transportation and this weekend, its having a launch party and I’m inviting you. Hit Bayfront Park Promenade at 301 Biscayne Blvd. on Saturday, December 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and check out what these blue bikes are all about. Sneak peek: This bike-sharing program plants bikes all across Miami that are ready to ride 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year long. You can find the bikes at docks with touchscreen kiosks and maps of the service area and surrounding hood all across the city. One of my favorite places to bike to is the Sunset Harbour area. I like to head over in the a.m., jump into a yoga class, grab a juice at JugoFresh, do a little shopping at Blush, Metta and Farnkie and then head back to mi casa. Workout, retail therapy and time in the sun. What’s not to love? You can get in on the action, too. Simply rent a bike and release it with a card or key, then you’re ready to see the city on two wheels. It’s green, it’s exercise, its affordable, it’s convenient and it’s awesome. But don’t take my word for it, make the into to Citi Bike Miami launch this Saturday and check out the giveaways, test rides, food, entertainment and more. See you there. Bike on.

This message brought to you by Citi Bike. The rest is the ramble that rolls around my head.
