Let’s just say being the last one in the fam to see Guardians of the Galaxy, the first one, is not great. Because I was late to that party, I was solely responsible for preventing a family outing to see the sequel. The game plan was to see its predecessor the Saturday afternoon it came out. Time was of the essence. So, I plopped myself down in front of the tube and binged on the first one. Hi, how cute is Groot? With part one under my belt, all that was left was to decide where to watch the second. Since I was the Debbie Downer on this one, I saved the day by suggesting CineBistro Doral, the new “dinner and a movie” concept by Cobb Theatres at CityPlace Doral.

I got a first-hand experience of the spot a bit prior when they reached out to collaborate on a blog post. What’s great about CineBistro is that it’s an excellent date place, meaning the venue is geared toward adults, hence the great bar and tasty drinks. It’s perfect if you need a night off from the kiddos. But, as these things go, the kids will hear you talking about your great experience and get all jealous/curious, so from time to time CineBistro offers family friendly flicks, indicated by their family series, so you can bring the kids along. And since this was once of those times, I knew the kids would love it, too. Who wouldn’t dig having dinner served to them in the theatre? Or reclining seats. I also knew Jorge would totally be into having churros while he took in the show. And I was sold on the idea of having a nice glass of sangria while I watched the flick. It was a win-win for everyone.

Dinner and movie is one of my favorite things, but CineBistro Doral takes that whole concept and gives it a luxury overhaul. From the bar, where you can snag cocktails that are as delicious as they are Instagram-able, to the lounge—there’s even a private party room, should you want to make seeing a show a full-on event, this theatre is unlike any you’ve been to before. The whole experience is fun, convenient and doesn’t break the bank. Tickets are just $18 for adults. You can score them here.

Oh, and those Key Lime Creme Brûlée Doughnuts, they go excellently with whatever is playing on the big screen. In case you were wondering.
