Spring is, without a doubt, my favorite season. Why? Because my birthday is just five days after it happens and Milly’s is just four more days after that. Around Maison de Milly and Ginger, it’s prime celebration time. What I didn’t know, however, is that International Day of Happiness is the same day as spring. Coincidence? I think not.

Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal, new beginnings, new growth. And if those things don’t conjure happiness, I don’t know what does. To celebrate, I threw on my favorite things: The way this Karina Grimaldi skirt whips in the wind, makes me feel like a princess with a flowing train (yea, I know I’m almost 36 and still in my princess phase, deal with it). My oversized cat-eye sunnies make me feel like a vintage celebrity. Apparently, I’m not alone. Christian Roth, who I was lucky enough to have lunch with in their stunning home last week to preview their new collection, also designed glasses for The Great Gatsby? Hello, amazing. As a girl living in the South, I have a predisposed obsession with things baring my initials, hence my obsession with my The Find Auctions bold blue clutch. And my Express necklace is the perfect mix of boho and bling, which I feel describes my high-maintenance hippie style. Oh, and my bracelet, this one really brings me joy. It’s handmade from Dune and filled with sand from the beaches of Destin, where my mama lives (they have a database of hundreds of beaches in their sandbank, so you can get one from the beach that means the most to you). I’ve been missing her something awful lately and it makes me feel closer to her when I wear it.

So today, put on what makes you happy, go outside and enjoy the start of something new. Happy spring.
