Four Finds at the Touch Boutique Style Challenge

Last night, I helped host and judge the Touch Boutique Style Challenge. The party was packed with savvy Miami girls styling looks that ranged from knock-out neon to bold blazers and breezy palazzo pants. Here’s a glimpse into the evening and my fab four finds for the week. (The accessories alone are worth a trip to Touch). {Awesome butterfly necklace and neon chevron bracelet.}  {Lace neon bralette and must-have leopard skit (with zipper detail in back).}  {Hostesses and judges: Me, Lori Riviere, Ria Michelle and Juliana Cardona. What a colorful crew.} {The scene.} {Eye candy.} Miami fashion bloggers unite. The hostesses with Ana Ortuño of Chic Streets & Eats.  {Styling force to be reckoned with and challenge winner for the night Courtney Bleier (r) with sister Lindsay Bleier (l), creator of White Bear Accessories.} {The winning look. Congrats, Courtney!} {What I wore: Touch Boutique neon- and tribal-print dress. House of Harlow…Read More

Keeping it Local with RaMona LaRue

{RaMona LaRue romper, Fly Boutique vintage necklace, Aldo bracelet, Jimmy Choo shoes.} I was recently invited to check out RaMona LaRue’s studio, a space located just above Isa Boutique in Midtown. Inside, racks upon racks of hand-painted silk designs bring the space to life. It’s a skill designer Arianne learned from her mother, Ramona, for whom the line is named. After losing her mom to cancer, Arianne created the line as an homage to this most influential person in her life. And RaMona LaRue was born.  {Orange, a prominent color in the current collection.} A true artist in every sense of the word, Arianne takes patterns, most of which are animal-print inspired, paints them onto her fabrics and then turns them into stunning boho-chic apparel. Her long, flowing dresses and kaftans are inspiring and ideal for Miami’s dreaded summer heat. And nearly all of her pieces transition from beachwear to…Read More

A Pop of Fuchsia

{MIA Shoes Limited Edition Vixen shoes (c/o MIA Shoes), Alexis top, Wet Seal shorts and vintage bangle.} Normally, I’m a red shoe kind of girl. There’s just something about rouge heels that screams classic. But these new fuchsia kicks are a modern replacement. In keeping with my local designer love affair, these shoes, called the Vixen, are made by Miami-based co MIA Shoes. And they give red pumps a run for their money. Check out the leopard-print soles. {As for makeup, I’m wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear Mascara in Black, NYC IndividualEyes Shadows in Smokey Greens, Bare Minerals All-Over Face Color in Glee, Brilliance New York Lipstick in True Love, Chanel Glossimer in 327 Sirocco and Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Polish in Hot Coral. Whew, that’s a lot of stuff.} Keep Miami fashionable by supporting local business and check out MIA Shoes’ reward’s program online and on Facebook, where…Read More

H&M-sanity in Miami Beach

{I called this.} Two and a half hours into the opening of H&M’s Miami Beach Pop-up shop, the line was wrapped around the block. Music blaring, a bullhorn, security—it was like a fashion crime scene. Once in, you weren’t limited to the amount of time you could spend in the store, but only a handful of people gained access at a time. The weirdest part? I was offered an “official H&M after party bracelet” for Set. I’ll try this again tomorrow when the H&M-sanity gets a chance to die down. {Literally wrapped around the block.} {And it just keeps going.}

Four Finds

I’m not even remotely kidding you. A few years back, several friends and I used to call H&M’s coprporate office at random to ask why it didn’t have a store in Miami and when in the world we were getting one. Finally, that day is here. Why was I just as obsessed then as I am now? It’s a great way to incorporate cute trends into your wardrobe without breaking the bank. In honor of Miami Beach’s H&M Pop-Up Shop grand opening, I’m showing off four finds from yesterday’s preview and the ridic affordable price tags attached. {Blue beach towels, $9.95.} {Neon earrings, $7.95.} {Colorful bikini top, $14.95, and matching bottom, $12.94.} {Neon and tan clutch, $17.95.}
