It’s Time To Go Back-To-School Shopping at Sawgrass Mills: A Guest Post By Milly Jane Harris

It’s almost time to go back to school. My favorite thing about back-to-school shopping is all the cool new stuff I get to pick out to wear for the year. And this year, when my mom said she was taking me and the boys (that’s Julien and Jorgie. They’re part of our big Brandy Bunch family), to Sawgrass Mills, I knew we would find really fun stuff.

First, we stopped for lunch at Mojito Bar and Plates by Douglas Rodriguez because we knew it was going to be a long day and we needed to get all fueled up for all that shopping. We had arepas, mahi  mahi, croquetas, salads and Cuban sandwiches. It was really yummy, and the giant lemonades were me and mommy’s favorite part.

Then it is was off to get all the things we needed to be cool for back to school. We got shoes, clothes and backpacks. I got a sea foam green Jansport backpack from T.J. Maxx.  I picked it because it is my favorite color. Then, at Super Target, I got patches that I can sew on to it and and make it my own.

Jorgie picked a Sprayground camo and gold backpack from Simons. And Julien got a black Jansport backpack from Robert Wayne. It was great because we all got exactly what we wanted. You can watch our Instagram story below to see all about it.

Mommy even got a pair of Nikes that she can wear as she’s running us all over the place, which she calls “mom life.”

I got new shoes, too. Two pairs: Nike Roshe Ones, which are super comfy and fashion-y maroon Dr. Martens. My favorite thing that I got, though, was a pair of navy blue kitty knee socks from Target. I always wear knee socks on the first day of school. And I can’t wait to wear these.

Here’s some important stuff about shopping at Sawgrass Mills for back to school that my mom is going to help me tell you about.

Starting tomorrow, August 4 through August 6, Sawgrass Mills is hosting a back-to-school and tax-free weekend sale. If you are one of 100 people to get there super early on August 4, you can score a $25 gift card to use on shoes, clothes, school supplies, which will already be 6 percent less because of the tax-free break. And Sawgrass Mills is extending its hours all weekend, so you can get it all done before its time to go back to school. So plan to shop August 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and August 6 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As if all that wasn’t helpful enough, you can also enter to win a shopping spree now through August 20. All you have to do is follow our lead by taking pics of your Sawgrass back-to-school shopping haul and use the hashtags #MyBTSHaul and #giveaway when you post on Instagram and Facebook. Those hashtags could help you win a $1,500, $3,500 or $5,000 shopping spree. Imagine all the back to school swag you could score with that?

Let’s just say that would win you a lot of backpacks.
