This was the first year I took kiddo to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. Her second-ever show: 6 Shore Road. The brand actually comes from designer Pooja Kharbanda and made its debut at swim shows on Monday night.

Here’s why I’m telling you all of this: If you live in Miami, this is a brand you’ll want to familiarize yourself with. 6 Shore Road’s philosophy is built around clothing that goes from beach to night. And that’s a transition every Miami girl has encountered at least once (a week) in her life. The easy dresses and sheer jumpsuits can easily serve as a coverup for day. But toss on heels and a killer necklace and you’re ready for whatever happens once the sun goes down.

Some of my favorite looks from the show included a pair of high-waisted, bejeweled tapered pants in black (the designer wore them herself), as well as a high-wasited white bikini with cut-out detail.

Kharbanda, whom I got to interview after the show, says her aesthetic works for Miami because the overall look is a mix of cultures blended with a beach chic vibe. If that isn’t the very definition of Miami,  I don’t know what is.
