I realize I’ve fallen off the grid, but I’ve been up to some pretty awesome stuff. Just last week I shot the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target piece for the opening party to be held in New York at Fashion Week. The designer picked six cities across the U.S. to do a panoramic interactive installation for his soiree, and I got to be a part of it. It went a little something like this.
Up first, a trip to Target’s beauty trailer where I got my hair done using Umberto hair products.
Then wisked to makeup for a Pixie brand makeover.
Next stop: The collection. Trust me when I tell you it’s good. The bags are amazing. And the leather pieces are stunning. This jacket and I are meant to be together. So, yes, get in line early because there will be a rush a la Missoni for the collection when it arrives in September on the 15th. Even more impressive, the guy’s line. Check out the full collection here. Prices range from $19.99 to $299.99 (that last price being this yummy jacket).
Then it was off to wardrobe change, where I slipped into my own piece. Models wore Lim’s pieces for the collection, while the rest of us donned our own clothing. I went with this Zara dress.
And because it’s Miami, we brought the rainbow. We’re a city known for color and we wouldn’t want to disappoint.
More of the colorful cast of character from the shoot. Let’s just say John Lin is the man and leave it at that.
And then it was off to the set. What happens on the other side of this window you might ask? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see.
