Extreme Beauty: Laser Facials The Revisit

{Wearing: Emma Dress: c/o NomadTribe from the PlayNomad Collection} Being pregnant, living in Florida, taking birth control—there is so much in life that effects your skin. Trust me, it’s taken a lot of work to get my skin to look like the photo above. And that’s me doing my own makeup with no retouching. Pretty much as real as it gets. That’s being said, it’s been awhile since I’ve had a laser facial, so I decided another round to get my skin back to glowing was a must. I headed back to Vivid Face for Smooth and Brighten Vivids. While I’ve finally got my hormones to chill out with the breakouts, I’ve noticed some pigmentation issues. Time to clear those up. One of the best ways to those is with laser treatments. This marks my eighth round of facials with Vivid Face. And I’m so happy with the results, especially now that the…Read More

It’s My Blog-iversary

{Wearing: Dress: c/o Lilac and Lilies Boutique. Bracelets: c/o Yvonne Rose Jewelry Watch: c/o Timex. Shoes: T.J. Maxx. Hair: c/o Contesta Rock Hair. Makeup: c/o Hippy Glow. Photographed by KarGar Ohh Snap at Espanola Way.} Put on this fancy dress from Lilac and Lilies Boutique and I’m ready to shake things up. Why? Because today, 11/11, marks the sixth anniversary of Electric Blogarella. Holy shit, I’ve been blogging for six years now. That’s six trips around the sun. That’s 2,190 days. That’s a lot—and I mean a lot—of blog posts. Enough, I’m fairly sure to make me an OG Miami blogger. It’s also a lot of change. Since my first post back on 11/11/11, where I got the opportunity to go one-on-one with Diane Von Furstenberg, this world has grown and morphed, died off, been reborn and exploded. For instance, Instagram was barely a thing way back then. Now, Instagram it’s the thing. Until the…Read More

How To Bond With Your New Dog

{Wearing: Bathing Suit: Hampton’s One Piece c/o Modcloth. Hat: You Me and the Sea c/o Abaco. Photographed By Jorge Camaraza} It’s no secret I love animals. This is me with my bestie, Shadow. I adore her. I recently got to spend time in Turks and Caicos with dogs available for adoption, too, but more about that to come. Now that you have your pup, you’re likely feeling thrilled to have found your new best friend… or maybe not. It’s Wynwood Fashion Night Out

{Wearing: Emma Dress: c/o NomadTribe from the PlayNomad Collection (where 100 percent of proceeds go toward helping young musicians. Sneakers: Vans.} Remember how much fun Fashion Night Out was back in the day? Well, you don’t have to remember any more. You can relive it. Tonight, actually. Wynwood is reviving the night where fashion, art and culture collide at Wynwood Fashion Night Out. Stores like NomadTribe, whose sustainable dress I’m wearing above, will offer discounts on their wares. It’s a great way for you to put money back into our community after the mess Irma left here. Then, the event will conclude with a fashion show at Mana Wynwood at 9 p.m. The event will also kick off a month-long donation drive at Lotus House, which helps homeless women and children. So if you need to make space for all the new you’re bringing in from the deals at Fashion…Read More

Oliver Peoples Turns 30: Time to Party

They say your 30s are some of your best years. Well, Oliver Peoples is about to find out. The eyewear brand is turning the big 3-0 and, to celebrate, Edward Beiner Fine Eyewear, which had carried the iconic brand since its beginnings, is throwing a bash to celebrate. The party kicks off at The Shops at Mary Brickell Village on November 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the luxury boutique. If you want to go and say, try on sunnies all night and take selfies while doing so, I highly suggest RSVPing to rsvp@levypublicrelations.com.  They’re will be plenty to try on from the anniversary collection, like the MP-3s Larry David wears, and M-4s, one of the brand’s original styles from 1989. So retro fun. And since all the holidays are about to descend, well, it’s never to early to get shopping.

The Big 2017 Halloween Reveal

{Meet the crazy cat lady and her 48 cats} This year, Milly knocked it out of the park with her costume idea. And she came up with it all on her own. “I want to be the crazy cat lady, and you can be my black cat.” Done and done. The two of us have been trying to talk Jorge into letting us have a pet cat for about an eternity now. Maybe this would drive the point home. Milly came up with her look herself. She informed me she would need a robe, rollers, slippers, a string for her glasses and un-matching socks. And once she put it on I swear she looked exactly like one of my great grandmothers, who also had a thing for cats. It was Jorge, however, who came up with our cat cart concept. And I managed to lock down 48 cats on the…Read More
