Here’s How You Can Win Free Tickets to Vizcaya’s 31st Annual Halloween Sundowner

It’s no secret I LOVE HALLOWEEN. For me, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! The picking a costume, the going to the craft store to make it, the putting it together, the hair, the makeup, and then the BIG REVEAL. I LOVE ALL OF IT (maybe a little too much.) So, this year when Vizcaya asked me judge its 31st Annual Halloween Sundowner I said absolutely. The party takes place on Saturday, October 28 at 8 p.m. to midnight, with the contest running from 8-10 p.m. The winner will be announced at 10:30 p.m. Categories include: Best Male, Best Female, Best Couple and Best Group. The Great Oblication: From Miami to Moab, Utah and Arches National Park

How do you manage to go from this … to this … in the same trip? I guess, the same way your 9-year-old can cram all of this into her “what I did on my summer vacation” illustration below. It’s called the “oblication,” as in taking a trip you are obligated to take and turning some aspect of it into a vacation. And if this family is good at anything, it’s taking a trip and turning it into an adventure. One that I should get to telling, though it will take me the next few months to do. Robe Life … Is the Best Life

Mondays come and it’s like what else can the universe hurl at me before noon?
