Holiday Looks Made Simple

{Wearing from Sawgrass Mills: Laser-cut Black Dress: AllSaints. Nude Suede Moto Jacket: AllSaints. Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti from Saks Off Fifth. Hair and Makeup: Glamsquad Photographed by World Red Eye} A holiday party frock, a Christmas Eve look, a NYE LBD—ringing in the holidays is a lot like buying a whole new wardrobe. But with gifts to buy, trips to take and presents to mail, splurging this time of year on yourself isn’t necessarily in the cards. That’s why I recently partnered with Sawgrass Mills to put together some holiday looks on a budget and take over their Instagram account smack in the middle of holiday season. Would I leave you hanging without tips on what to wear to end 2016 and ring in a whole new 365? No way! Keep reading to find out how you can score a $250 gift card to Sawgrass to steal my looks or create…Read More

An Evening at Miami City Ballet’s The Nutcracker

{The Miami City Ballet‘s The Nutcracker at The Arsht Center} When you live in Miami, the holidays don’t just happen organically. When it’s 90 degrees and 100 percent humidity and you still can’t wear jeans unless you’re blasting the AC, well, you have to work to make the holidays happen. You have to go that extra mile to feel holiday cheer. Little did I know six years ago when I took Milly to see her first-ever The Nutcracker at The Arsht Center, that we would be creating a tradition that was not only entertaining, it was the event that unearthed our holiday spirit. For six years we’ve been dressing up, heading to The Arsht Center and taking in two hours of Miami City Ballet‘s The Nutcracker—both of us dreaming of being the Sugar Plum Fairy herself. This year, however, we did things a little differently. This year, we skipped the…Read More

G is for …

{Wearing: Jacket: Vintage Yanuk Jeans. Crop Top: Forever 21. Skirt: American Apparel. Marina Over the Knee Boots: c/o Cole Haan at Brickell City Center. Alphabet Iphis-Print Tote Bag: c/o Liberty London at Neiman Marcus. Choker: Blush.} When I was a kiddo, I’d walk into somewhere with magnets, keychains or mini license plates and immediately flip to the Gs, only to find Gina, Gia and never ever Ginger. In the rare occasion I’d find something with my name on it, I’d snatch it up faster than you could blink. But the findings were so few and far between, I learned to be happy just finding something stamped with a letter “g.” This, may be my most beautiful discovery yet. Liberty London launched an alphabet line for its Iphis-print totes, which is available at Neiman Marcus and are big enough to carry my whole life in (read: laptop, camera, makeup bag and the…Read More

Looking Back on my PCH Seekender Adventure

Twenty sixteen, the year I crossed traveling across the Pacific Coast Highway on the back of a motorcycle with my best friend off my bucket list. As I mentioned in my last post: “Memories like these weren’t easily forgotten, they held too much weight, too much joy, too much power.” From zipping across the Golden Gate Bridge and hugging trees bigger around than I am tall , to the breathtaking views of Monterey and Big Sur, to frolicking on a purple beach and spying the lights of the Santa Monica pier, it was a trip that lives on inside both he and me. Thanks, Hampton by Hilton, for the Seekender trip of a lifetime. And thank you for everything it begat. I have a motto about traveling: Always leave one thing off your list, so it gives you a reason to go back. And that’s exactly what we did. We saw everything…Read More

Extreme Beauty: Laser Facial Part Deux

{Glow: c/o Vivid Face. Photographed by Jorge Camaraza.} A few months back I mentioned I’ve beamed myself  into the world of laser facials at Vivid Face as part of my new Extreme Beauty series. Since August, I’ve been playing laser tag on the imperfections my skin has managed to bring to the surface over the years. Not only am I pleased with the results of the Aventura laser spa’s Signature Treatment, I’ve actually stopped wearing makeup to things like drop-off, Pilates and basic errands. Wait for it, there’s more: I’m only wearing one thin layer of foundation these days. And it feels amazing. But, being a Miami girl, I still have sun damage, the little leftovers from all those days on the beach, all those trips on boats, all those water-logged vacations. I’ve decided to do something about those, too, with the team at Vivid Face. I’ve signed up for three…Read More
